What is Virtual Personal Training

What is Virtual Personal Training

Posted by David Nickum Uncategorized

Over the years On the Go Fitness Pro has been helping the Northern Virginia community by offering in-home personal training to people that need help getting in shape. Many people have decided that they don’t have time to go to the gym and crowds at the gym are intimidating. In these challenging times with COVID-19 On the Go Fitness Pro has decided to launch virtual personal training services that people can do from home.

Our personal trainers can perform virtual personal training sessions using formats such as Skype, Facetime or Zoom. Our goal is to help clients to stay on track.

Why should you do virtual personal training.

When you hire a personal trainer, you might think that the only way you can see them is in person but with technology that is a thing of the past. While having a personal trainer next to you is a better option it might not always be doable. Having a personal trainer do a virtual personal training session is great option when you don’t live near the trainer you desire, while you’re traveling or during a state lock down during the COVID-19 crisis.

Finding the right trainer isn’t easy and the one that you like in your local gym might be completely booked. Allowing a personal trainer to work with you online is a great way to find the personal trainer that fits your needs rather than settling for someone that is not the right fit.

What’s the difference between in-home personal training and virtual personal training?

In-home personal training: Having a personal trainer come to your home is one of the most convenient ways to train with a fitness professional. The trainer comes to your door with everything you need to get in a great workout. You don’t have to deal with driving to the gym or wait for equipment while using an in-home personal trainer. The cost is around the same as using a personal trainer at the gym but you save time by not having to drive to the gym.

Virtual personal training: Using a personal trainer online is a little different than having a personal trainer come to your home. Using a personal trainer online will require you to set up a camera so that the trainer can see what you’re doing while training. Setting this up can be the hardest part about the process but once you do this virtual training can be just as good as in-home personal training. When doing virtual training, you will still have a real time personal trainer, watching your form and telling you what to do.

How to set up your virtual personal training session.

Setting up a virtual fitness session is easy. All you must do is reach out to a trainer and go over your fitness goals with your trainer. Your trainer may ask you to buy some equipment based on your fitness goals. It’s important to set up a video meeting with the trainer before your program starts so that you get everything you need before getting started.

If you’re interested in setting up a virtual personal training session go to our contact us page. The first meeting with one of our trainers is free of charge.

About David Nickum

David S. Nickum is an inspirational fitness professional with over 10 years in the health and wellness industry. What he brings to any workout program is a deep understanding of anatomy, nutrition, and exercise physiology. His programs are unique, innovative, educational, and customized to get the job done quickly. He is a cutting edge professional who builds a program that fits your individualized goals. Starting out in the field of automotive technology industry, David had a lot of problems with pain in the lower back. This led him to the world of health and wellness. David was tired of getting prescribed pills to address his problems and he knew that physical therapy would only be a short-term fix, so he decided to learn about the human body to fix the problem on his own. Being a musician has helped David to also apply an artistic approach to health and wellness. He always told me; “exercise is an art just as much as a science”, he was right, every human is different and needs an artistic touch to get the most out of a workout. Throughout his career, David has developed a deep understanding about the human body. He started out only knowing the basics. Seven years later he has become a leader in the field of fitness, he designed his own style of training which works on posture, metabolism, pain management, and performance. After working with David my life has never been better, the pain in my body is gone for the first time in 10 years. After only 6 months of training I feel like a new person. I feel and look the best I have in years. He gave me the education and the tools I needed to prevent failure in the future. He gave me a new lease on life and I am thankful for that everyday.
