These days there is a lot of talk about CBD (Cannabidiol). There have been a lot of claims around CBD which are still being looked at by science. CBD may have some therapeutic benefits and time will tell how CBD may help us.
Many “experts” claim that CBD can help with things like sleep, autoimmune disease, metabolic syndrome, ADHD and many other disorders. With all the misinformation, out there it’s hard to tell what’s real and what’s fake.
Here is my take on how CBD has helped me
Sleep
I’ve always have problems with sleep and I used to take melatonin and magnesium to help me get to sleep. This would work but leave me feeling sleepy the next day. CBD on the other hand would help me to go to bed faster than melatonin and it would help me stay asleep. I’m not sure how CBD helps me get to sleep maybe it helps reduce anxiety causing me to feel more relaxed.
There have been some small studies that found that CBD can help people fall asleep and stay asleep longer.

Anxiety
Many CBD brands claim that it may help with anxiety and my personal experience has shown this to be true. After taking CBD gummies for a while I found that my anxiety has gone down. This may be because I am getting better sleep or it may be a placebo effect from eating the CBD. More scientific studies need to be before making a statement that this will work for anxiety.

Where to find CBD
Finding quality CBD is important because a lot of companies may not have product that is free of heavy metals and the CBD content may not be accurate. Just like many supplements CBD is not regulated or approved by the FDA for treatment of disease. It’s important to find a company that is independently tested and safe for use.
The company I like to use is Hempworx. They have quality products that I found to work the best. Drops are great and I also like the gummies.
Should you try CBD
After reading this you may ask yourself if you should try CBD? My answer is yes if your doctor says it’s ok for you to try. I wouldn’t replace any medication with CBD unless you’re told to do so by your doctor. Personally, I like using CBD for sleep and think that it helps. Keep in mind I am not a doctor, so, my opinion is just that an opinion. CBD may have side effects and you should be aware of them before taking CBD.
