Natural Remedies for Chronic Joint Pain Treatment

Natural Remedies for Chronic Joint Pain Treatment

Natural Remedies for Chronic Joint Pain Treatment

Posted by David Nickum Health

A multitude of different reasons can cause joint pains. It could be caused by genetics, malnutrition, deformation, and obesity in some people.

However, there are specific treatment methods that could help contain the pain and improve your day-to-day life. Losing weight, ample amounts of vitamin D, and proper exercise are some of the primary alterations in your life you can consider if you are chronically suffering from joint pain. Red light therapy has progressively become more popular and effective in treating joint pains.

Therefore, if you want to know about chronic joint pain treatment, this article is just what you need. Here you will learn more about what causes and how to treat this pain.

Possible Chronic Joint Pain Treatment

Joint pains contribute to a number of health complications, along with decreased mobility and functions. These types of pain cause restrictions in your day-to-day life and your well-being. It is essential to know how to prevent further complications with this pain to prevent deterioration in the long run.

Here is a list of possible treatments to consider if you are suffering from joint pain –

Light Therapy

Light therapy has consistently proven highly effective for bone problems and joint aches. Red therapy is the ideal treatment to help relieve pain and swelling of the joints. This non-invasive treatment effectively slows down the degeneration of the bones, improves mobility, offers support, and eases muscle contractions.

Exposure to red light at a specific wavelength and frequency will allow the light to penetrate layers underneath the skin and increase cellular activity. Increased cellular activity leads to better blood flow throughout the body. The better the blood flow, the lower the joint pain.

Red light therapy also contributes to ease of stiffness in the muscles, and cramps, and improves blood flow leading to better movement, stronger bones, and improved density.

Increased Vitamin D Intake

Lack of vitamin D has been associated with joint problems and degeneration of the bones regardless of age, sex, and activity. Vitamin D ensures proper, healthy, and strong bone formation. It is needed for the bones to absorb calcium which provides strength to the bones.

If you suffer from joint problems, taking a Vitamin D supplement will help you in the long run. Even though bodies can absorb vitamin D from the sun, it may not always be as efficient as it would take supplements.

These supplements will help absorb calcium and strengthen the bones inside out, allowing you more mobility and flexibility and preventing aches. Spending as much time underneath the sun as possible without getting burnt to absorb vitamin D is also recommended.

Improved Posture

Your posture can easily and unsuspectingly become the reason you suffer from chronic joint pain. Spending extended periods of time sitting or in the same position can cause stiffness and cramps all over your muscles.

Poor posture is directly responsible for causing poor flexibility and mobility in a person, making them lethargic and unmotivated. Remaining slouched for long hours can cause spinal dysfunction, joint degeneration, cramped muscles, and trigger back pains.

Leaning, slouching, and slumping over are some of the most common types of poor postures that lead to detrimental long-term problems. In these positions, the spine remains in a compressed state that causes the spinal discs to be under pressure for a long time. This may be one of the reasons you suffer from back pain, among other joint problems.

Avoid Lifting Heavy Weights

Lifting heavy weights can trigger joint pains all over the body. Whether you are lifting heavy weights at the gym during workout sessions or heavy items at home, both can lead to chronic joint pain in the long run.

Avoiding lifting heavy weights is important if you already suffer from joint pain, as it would only further degenerate the joint and intensify the pain. Instead of lifting weights with joint pain, modifying your physical activities that do not exert pressure on your joints is recommended.

You can alternate heavier weights by increasing your reps with less heavy weights.

This way, you can still train for strength without exerting as much pressure on your joints as you would with heavier weights. You will still get the most out of your workout sessions without causing more pain or damaging your bone health.

Weight Loss

Being obese can lead to joint pain more than any other health condition. It triggers pain and damages the soft tissues, which can feel like shooting pain through the body. If you are already suffering from bone problems and joint pains, trying to lose a few pounds is recommended to help relieve the pain.

Weight loss will help provide comfort and relief from joint pain and contribute to overall health. It is a non-invasive method that reduces pressure from joints and prevents further degeneration of the bones without any negative effect.

Obesity is known to commonly affect the hips and the knees the most compared to other joints. Therefore, losing weight should always be the top priority if you suffer from joint pain.

Proper Exercise

Suffering from joint pain can certainly restrict you from performing specific exercises that contribute to your workout plan. Joint pain sometimes restricts you from lifting weights, high-intensive training, leg workouts, and back workouts. Therefore, opting for aerobic exercises is the way to go if you cannot perform such exercises and suffer from joint pain.

Alternating exercises with biking, swimming, and walking will help you achieve a similar effect without affecting your joints at all. These will help relieve pressure and cramps on your joints without compromising your workout plan.

Frequently walking, swimming, and biking causes you to use and move all your muscles, relieving the pressure on them. These will help prevent swelling as well as make them mobile once again.

Bottom Line

Some of the most common reasons for joint pain are obesity, vitamin D deficiency, calcium deficiency, heavy weight lifting, and poor posture. All of these contribute to a lifelong struggle living with joint pains and bone deterioration.

If these problems are not considered and treated accordingly, the situation and your lifestyle will only progressively improve. It will also cause you to live a very restrictive lifestyle, as your mobility will be limited and minimal.

In order to prevent further damage to your bone health, you must know more about chronic joint pain treatment in detail to live a better life. Implying certain changes and taking proper medication can contribute to a better lifestyle with consistency.
